Purple Pole
Dec. 18, 2009 - First view of the play. Gully at base of this slope eroding upwards, draining the slope. I hypothesize that if I can spread the runoff out and lead much of it around the head of the gully, then:
(a) the gully head will cease its headward erosion and even start filling in with sediment and vegetation
(b) more of the rain will soak in and nourish greater growth within the drainage.
Jan. 18, 2010 - taken during a rain.
February 6. 2011 - Lots of dead vegetation from last growing season. Gentle but abundant rains in October and November got the annual plants off to a strong start this season.
