Jan. 18, 2010 - I'm watching the role of fallen leaves. Strong runoff can float leaves away but floating leaves can clot together to form dams that slow runoff and form settling pools. If I lead the runoff away upstream, will the base of this canyon fill faster than one might expect because of accumulations of fallen leaves?
